I have a link to an article about the danger of Xylitol- found in sugerfree gum. Please read the article and know: it is deadly to dogs!

The link below goes to the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine and answers many questions I never even thought to ask. It includes pages about other animals and a pet grief helpline.
I received permission from Optigen to include their link on this site.
I found them while researching collie eye issues.

Guarantee on Goldleaf Collie puppies.

The Seller guarantees this puppy to be of sound health and temperament at the time of this sale. A health record of all shots and worming will be provided. The Buyer agrees to take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian of his choice within 72 hours for a physical examination.  Should puppy be determined to be in ill health, the cause of which is clearly attributable to the Seller, the dog may, upon signed written diagnosis from said veterinarian, be returned for refund.

Puppy purchased is guaranteed for one year of life for any genetic defect that would cause the dog to die or live such a poor quality of life a licensed veterinarian would suggest euthanizing the dog.  A licensed veterinarian and a specialist must make all claims. A minimum of two separate evaluations must be submitted to me in writing for a replacement and an autopsy must be performed in the case of death. Things not included are allergies, infectious diseases, freak accidents, suspected mistreatment, hernias, mild thyroid conditions, mild heart murmurs or irregularities, other things not in any way within my control.

Please contact us if any serious issues arise.

No claims are made about the following: size, height, weight, placement of the animal in the show ring or capabilities of the animal to reproduce as an adult. Animals sold with "full registration" means at time of sale there are no known defects that would prevent an animal from being shown or breeding. Under no circumstances will this puppy be sold, leased, traded or given away to any pet shop, research laboratory, animal shelter or similar facility.

Breeder agrees to accept the return of the dog should the buyer be unable to keep it.

This is LeeLu's story.

It's an early morning in spring. She has been fed, gone potty and had one last romp with her siblings.

Her papers are ready to be mailed after she takes off on the plane to Louisiana.
Airport door says "No Pets"
weighing in at the airposrt
In line at Airport
At the airport, I see a "No Pets" sign on the door.
She is weighed-in and they attach a label to her crate.
We wait our turn to fill out all of the paperwork.
I will call her new owners and tell them she has her place on the plane.
They will call me back when they have her.
It's always been a joyfull call! I look forward to receiving pictures of her.

Dr Hamor prefers the puppies are at least 7-weeks-old. Don't they love a chance to go somewhere?
We take our puppies for Certified Ophthalmology eye-checks with Dr. Hamor and Sherry,
at the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr Hamor and Sheri
The good Dr Hamor and his side-kick Sherry. She sets up the appointments and sees that everything is in order!
While we check-in, other staff want to hold one, too!
Here are students putting in the eye drops.
Sherry is checking to see how much the eyes have dilated. The orange collar keeps each puppy properly identified.
Dr Hamor's first step, with a magifing glass. Sherry writes down what he's finding.
There is a lot of information to fill out. Each puppy has a folder.
Now he's in for a closer look. This allows him to see the back of the eye.
Puppies can be very squirmy when the light shines in! Dr Hamor is gentle, firm and must persist.
He looks until he is sure he has checked thoroughly.
An assistant holds onto the puppy, too.
We receive our copies and pay the fees.

They are so glad to be heading back home!

Dear Puppy Buyer,
As a dog breeder, animal health is my top priority. That’s why I enthusiastically recommend NuVet immune system builder to all of my customers. Simply put, it is the best nutritional supplement available today.

Hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats are using NuVet to protect against most ailments (from back yard pesticides, pet food allergies and hormones, toxic formaldehyde in furniture and carpeting, ailments transmitted from dog parks and the vet’s office, etc), while maintaining a beautiful skin and coat.

This is not just a vitamin. It’s an immune system builder with a precise balance of vitamins, minerals, omega fatty acids, amino acids and high-potency antioxidants. That’s why it works so well through all three stages of a dog’s life.

  • For younger dogs (under 2 years old), it strengthens the immune system, while building and strengthening the cardiovascular, skeletal and nerve systems. It also helps protect them from the side effects of vaccinations and the stress of new and different environments.

  •  For dogs in their prime (age 2-8), itimproves the luster of their skin and coat while protecting against allergies, skin and coat problems, staining from tears, digestive problems, etc.

  •  For older dogs (over 8 years old), it helps protect against, tumors, premature aging, cataracts, heart conditions, diabetes and many types of cancer, while extending the life and improving the vitality of many dogs.

I highly recommend NuVet Plus to keep your pet on the path to perfect health! It’s not available in stores, and is only available to the general public with an order code from an authorized pet professional.

You can also save an additional 15% and assure you never run out of NuVet by choosing the “AutoShip” option at check out.

To the long life and health of your puppy!
